Cecile Monteyne

Cecile Monteyne came of age in New Orleans, Louisiana where she received honor degrees in Theatre and Environmental Policy from Tulane University. Before transplanting to New York, she collaborated with several theatre companys in NOLA on works such as Chekhov’s Wild Ride and the Alternate Roots State of the Nation Festival. Since coming to NYC, she has trained with the SITI Company, the Atlantic Theatre School and continually the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Training Center. Her most recent credits are a staged reading of The Rose Gardenat Atlantic Stage II as part of the PTP Summer Series, Mortimer in Edward II, Mrs. Silverstein in Class!, Law & Order: SVU, and this summer’s release of The Final Destination: Death Trip. Most recently, she played the role of Vanessa and served as the First Assistant Director for I go to war with everything that doesn’t make sense in a bathtub., a Cinereach Fellowship film. She is thrilled to be working with Ms. Douglass again after the success of their last collaboration, I Said to B.
